Privacy
1. Who we are
OTHERWORKS. is an independent design and technology company. For questions about this notice or your information, contact hello@byotherwork.com. MatterDesk enquiries may also be sent to doxa@byotherwork.com.
2. Information we collect
When you contact us, request a MatterDesk demo, or book a call, we may collect your name, work email, organisation, role, team size, project or product needs, links you provide, and the content of your message.
Our hosting service may receive technical request information such as IP address, requested page, browser or device type, and referral source. We do not ask you to submit confidential client, matter, health, financial, or other sensitive information through our public forms.
3. Why we use it
We use this information to respond to enquiries, evaluate potential projects or MatterDesk pilots, arrange meetings, operate and secure the website, understand which pages and calls to action are useful, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.
Depending on where you live, our basis may be your consent, steps requested before entering a contract, performance of a contract, compliance with law, or our legitimate interest in operating and improving the business. We do not sell personal information.
4. Services and sharing
We share information only where needed with service providers supporting the website and enquiry process, including Vercel for hosting, Resend for form-email delivery, and Cal.com when you choose to book a meeting. Those services process information under their own terms and privacy commitments. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect rights, security, and users.
5. Retention
We generally retain enquiries and related correspondence for up to 24 months after the last meaningful contact, unless a longer period is required for a contract, legal obligation, dispute, or a continuing business relationship. Technical hosting records follow the retention settings of the relevant provider. We delete or anonymise information when it is no longer reasonably needed.
6. International processing
Our service providers may process information in countries other than yours. Where applicable, we rely on recognised transfer mechanisms or provider safeguards. Contact us if you would like more information about a relevant transfer.
7. Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may ask to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive a copy of your personal information, or object to certain uses. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. You may also complain to the data-protection authority where you live or work.
To make a request, email hello@byotherwork.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on it.
8. Security and children
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards appropriate to the information we handle, but no internet transmission is completely secure. This website and MatterDesk pilot enquiries are intended for business professionals and not for children.
9. Changes
We may update this notice as our services change. The effective date above indicates the latest revision. Material changes will be presented clearly on this page.
This operational notice should be reviewed by qualified counsel before MatterDesk expands beyond private pilots or begins processing customer matter data.
